Evening of solidarity with imprisoned anarchists in Russia
Six anarchists and anti-fascists from the Urals and Western Siberia were imprisoned for 3 years. Russian security forces accused the comrades of creating a “terrorist community” and preparing attacks on government officials. After their detention, they were all subjected to brutal torture. In Russia, this process is known as the “Tyumen case” – after the name of the city of Tyumen, where the first detention took place.
On the third anniversary of the arrest, we will tell about this case and the comrades who are behind bars. Relatives of imprisoned anarchists will join the meeting via video link. There will be an opportunity to write letters to the prisoners, donate to their lawyers’ fees and purchase themed paraphernalia.
The anniversary of the arrest of the “Tyumen case” defendants falls on the International Week of Solidarity with Imprisoned Anarchists. Come to learn about the struggle and repression in Russia and show solidarity with your comrades!
Organizer: Hamburg activists, support group for the defendants of the “Tyumen case” and “Lights of Freedom”.
